Hello, fellow lovely seed swappers and newbies alike 🙂 Welcome to the usual update a few weeks before the event this year. Its been a bit delayed because, to be honest, i am utterly exhausted. Since November 2022 i’ve been down with a combination of some random physical illness & poor mental health – with a hefty dollop of inertia, avoidance, denial and just plain ol’ meh. And there doesn’t seem to be a resolution in sight…
So i’m going to have to lean heavily on the Seed Swapping Community in Southampton this year, to help make this event a jolly success… please help me to plug it relentlessly, pop posters up, chat to your friends/neighbours/family/a random person at the bus stop… Also, please bring lots and lots of seeds… 🙂
We’re keeping the event stripped back this year… just the Swap Tables and Yvonne’s Plants – making it much easier to run. Who knows, maybe i will have my event mojo back for next year in 2024?
A quick thanks to everyone who has help with publicity & organising this year – my colleagues at the Art House – Jani Franck, Paul Bickmore, Graham Caisley & Gill Colling doing all the finicky social media gubbins i’ve no idea how to do. And for all my chums in social media land who have been sharing posts hither and yon – much appreciated.
And how could i forget The Heritage Seed Library who’ve sent such a wonderful selection of many glorious seeds & cooks garden planners? Thanks folkx 🙂 I hope to be able to send you a handsome donation from the proceeds of the Seed Swap Table this year 🙂
On that note… here is a poster… please share it and print out, make a smart casual jacket from a bunch of them, cos i need all the help i can get this year, my lovelies.
